Job Description
Your tasks:
• Perform optical and dimensional measurements on prototype and production vehicles using handheld optical scanning systems and advanced metrology equipment
• Calibrate precision measurement tools, equipment, and fixtures used in manufacturing and development
• Program and optimize measurement routines and inspection sequences in PolyWorks
• Analyze measurement data using PolyWorks and statistical methods to ensure compliance with design specifications
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD data with a strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
• Document measurement results and maintain detailed records of calibration and equipment performance
• Conduct root cause analysis and contribute to problem-solving processes in case of deviations or quality issues
• Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to resolve measurement-related issues
• Provide training and technical support on metrology practices and equipment usage
• Participate in an international assignment in the USA as part of the production ramp-up (long-term stay possible)
Your profile:
• Completed technical education, ideally in metrology, automotive engineering, or a related field
• Experience in quality or metrology roles, preferably in the automotive industry
• Proficiency with metrology tools (optical scanners, CMMs, calipers, micrometers) and measurement software (PolyWorks a plus)
• Strong understanding of GD&T and technical drawings
• Analytical mindset, structured problem-solving skills, and attention to detail
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Good English and German skills
• Willingness to travel internationally
