LDC data strategy

Recognizing the data-driven strategy that is surrounding our business, LDC is looking for a master Solution Specialist to join the IT master data team in Sofia (Bulgaria), under the Data & Analytics organization.

 

Main Responsibilities

Along with the below listed responsibilities, the employee should conduct any other business related to the function as required by her or his supervisor.

In this role, you are part of the IT Master Data team as a Solution Specialist focused on building the master data reporting products, master data harmonization across LDC platforms, businesses and systems. You will be responsible of master data reporting, data governance and harmonization projects and a key enabler of the Data & Analytics roadmap.

 

You will:

• Lead the development and establishment of standards for MDM Data products within Azure Data Lake to support adoption, self-service initiatives, and data quality management.
• Collect requirements and oversee the creation and maintenance of operational reports, dashboards, and applications related to MDM.
• Advocate for and enhance existing PowerBI Applications, positioning them as a centralized MDM resource hub for group business stakeholders.
• Perform master data analysis across multiple systems, including comprehensive data profiling and data quality assessments.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify, analyse, and prioritize unmet needs, issues, and opportunities related to master data harmonization.
• Manage cross-functional master data harmonization projects, guiding efforts from data profiling through IT landscape alignment and the implementation of governance and monitoring tools.
• Design, adapt, and implement new data models in the LDC global MDM application.
• Deliver a harmonized master data portfolio in partnership with data champions and business data stewards.
• Contribute to the formulation and execution of the master data harmonization strategy.

Academics

• Bachelor or master’s degree in computer science or business management is considered a plus

 

Experience

IT skills:

• Proven experience with data platforms - Azure Data Lake or similar cloud-based data platforms
• Expertise in data profiling, cleansing, and quality assessment across multiple ERP or referential data systems
• Advanced skills in Power BI (including dashboard design, DAX, and data integration)
• Knowledge of data modeling principles and ability to design scalable, harmonized data models
• Have proven experience in IT project management including several stakeholders, regions, and multicultural teams
• Proficient user of standard office IT applications (Microsoft Office Package)
• Strong proficiency in SQL for querying and data extraction are a plus
• Knowledge of an MDM solution (TIBCO EBX, Informatica) is a plus

 

Business skills:

• Ability to conduct business analysis to identify areas for harmonization
• To have a customer-centric approach and a stive for user-friendly deliverables
• Ability to understand stakeholders' needs across different business domains ranging from data science, BI, risk, trading, finance, innovation, etc.
• Critical thinking and ability to condense a strategy into actionable plans
• Experience in commodity trading, agriculture, or food industry is a plus

 

Soft skills:

• Meticulous attention to detail
• Quick learner with the ability to work independently and in collaboration with a team
• Approachable, professional and constructive approach
• Fluent English is mandatory
