MDM/IDMC Data Engineer (Remote)

Job role:

About the role The Data Management Engineering organization is seeking a hands‑on Data Engineer to join the Master Data Management (MDM) team. You will design, configure, build, and operate MDM solutions in Informatica IDMC for party data (Account & Broker), focusing on ingestion to master, match & merge refinements, automated hierarchy enrichment from third‑party data, and operational data quality. This is an agile, fast‑paced environment that values continuous delivery, collaboration, and technical craftsmanship.

Key responsibilities:

Configure and customize Informatica IDMC (SaaS MDM) to implement the Party model: define entity types, relationships/hierarchies, UI/workflows, validation and business rules, match & merge strategies, and survivorship.
Design and maintain the data model for party-related entities and hierarchies.
Build data ingestion pipelines from multiple source systems into IDMC: profiling, cleansing, mapping, transformation, and load.
Implement and operationalize data quality rules and monitoring (Informatica CDQ), produce dashboards and alerts for actionable DQ metrics.
Leverage Informatica CAI/CDI for integrations and orchestrations; implement node/JS-based integrations where required.
Automate hierarchy generation/enrichment using third‑party (D&B) reference data
Write SQL and serverless/AWS components (Lambdas, S3) as part of integration or processing pipelines.
Produce solution documentation and deliver knowledge transfer to internal teams when appropriate
Participate in sprint ceremonies, demos, and stakeholder reviews; raise and manage risks and issues.

Required qualifications:

5+ years of data engineering experience (or equivalent), with 3+ years implementing MDM or master/party data solutions.
Hands‑on experience with Informatica IDMC (Informatica MDM) and familiarity with CAI, CDI and CDQ.
Strong experience designing and implementing match & merge strategies, survivorship rules, and party/relationship hierarchies.
Proficient in SQL; experience with data profiling, cleansing, transformation and mapping.
Practical experience with AWS services (Lambda, S3)
Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills; ability to work independently and in cross‑functional teams.
Comfortable working in an Agile delivery model and collaborating with business SMEs.

Preferred / nice‑to‑have

Prior experience working in insurance, risk, or broker/account data domains.
Practical experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js.
Experience with CI/CD for data platforms and deployment automation.
Solid understanding of Data Warehouse / Lakehouse architectures and MDM patterns.
Exposure to other data quality or MDM tools and reference data providers.
Experience producing operational dashboards and monitoring pipelines for production support.
