MDM AWS Solution Architect - Senior Manager

Role Summary & Role Description:

Chief Data Office (CDO) - Global Technology Solutions at State Street has a mandate to govern and report on data health across the enterprise. CDO is rolling out multiple initiatives and operating model changes to execute these initiatives and generate value for our internal and external clients.

We are looking for qualified senior / lead data engineering candidates with experience primarily focused on Master Data Management use cases, while designing and delivering Databricks data ingestion pipelines and various AWS services to meet the business requirement.

Work you’ll do:

• Lead, Design and develop data solutions on various AWS services along with Databricks.

• Execute POCs and Build data integrations between on-prem/cloud-based systems.

• Manage and use appropriate tools in the cloud data lake development and deployment.

• Migrate existing data processing onto cloud platform.

• Participating in technical design, build, configuration, unit testing, and deployment.

• Ensure the requirement is accurately translated to technical design and implementation

• Ownership in diagnosis and resolution of issues and perform accurate root cause analysis

• Work with other teams for deployment, testing, training and production support

• Ensure that development, coding, privacy and security standards are adhered to at all times.

• Architecture review, identify gaps, implement best practices on AWS platform.

Core/Must have skills:

• Hands on experience with various AWS services and Databricks

• Proficiency in writing PySpark programming for building data engineering pipelines

• Hands on experience in writing and analyzing complex SQL (Oracle/SQL)

• Experience working with cloud platform (AWS is highly preferred)

• Understanding of on-premise to cloud migration of data applications/solutions

• Hands on experience with Python programming for data processing

• Ability to perform root cause analysis on the SQL databases

• Ability to independently work and ensure requirements are properly translated in pipeline

• Ability to test the pipeline thoroughly for data accuracy (reconciliation)

• Agile SDLC processes for manage and deliver requirements across sprints and releases

Good to have:

• Expertise of CICD and DevOps processes

• AWS / Databricks certification

• Understanding of Data Governance, Data Quality and data reconciliation
