Your Mission

We are looking for an exceptional MD to build and lead our Finnish division in Helsinki. As the first person on ground, this is a hands-on role where your initial focus will be on establishing and maintaining a robust sales pipeline, ensuring accurate forecasting and timely deal closure. You are highly driven, resilient and with a natural ability to build trust and connection with people.

CVX currently consists of 20 ambitious and talented individuals in Copenhagen, London, Oslo, Stockholm and now in Helsinki.

What You Will Do

• Define and execute your strategy and continuously adjust

• Lead the Finnish expansion including potential acquisitions

• Be responsible for the Finnish profit & loss and overall operations

• Be responsible for rapidly building a large and value adding pool of partners

• Hire, develop and lead a top notch team of 10-15 people across sales, board management, event & members, and investments

• Find and attract the best investment cases

• Lead end-to-end investment deals from deal sourcing to investment

• Represent CVX at events, gatherings, conferences, etc

• Report into the CEO.

What We Expect From You

• High work ethic with a strong sense of urgency

• Unusually strong drive and desire to be the best at what you do

• 5+ years of experience ideally in venture capital, high-growth startups or fast-paced environments

• Proactive approach and take ownership of everything you do

• Deep interest in the venture capital and start-up space, with a passion for analyzing and investing in companies

• People-oriented with the ability to bring people together

• Ability to communicate effectively with individuals at management and board level

• Ability to win the trust of business leaders

• Outstanding analytical and structured problem-solving skills

• Demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding revenue targets

• Natural ability to sell and work with sales on a strategic as well as an operative level

• Strong leadership skills and we ideally see that you have led and managed teams in the past

• Fluency in Finnish and English

• Preferably, a network in the Finnish start-up ecosystem.
