Job Description

MCAFEE SME

3 MONTH CONTRACT

$60-$75/hr plus medical benefits

Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain a public trust clearance

Nice to have: McAfee Certification

Job Summary:

* Overall exclusions (file and processes) need a thorough review and changes (initial 2 days dedicated effort and then monitor)

* Review threat logs and put exclusions for routine processes and files that are creating the unnecessary threat events. For example, msiexec.exe can be put in low risk processes (initially 1 day dedicated effort to start and then monitor)

* VDI workstations (project)

- Appcontrol with or without MOVE

- With MOVE, could disable On Access but there are risks if the file server does not have AV

* Upgrade ePO, Agent, MOVE (definitely a project)

* One more MOVE scan server to separate the VDI workstations from servers – could improve some performance (project)

* SVA (Security Virtual Appliance) Manager for MOVE scan servers (project)

- Linux OS on the appliance and has McAfee agent and Linux AV

- manages MOVE scan servers and the virtual servers and workstations

- manages based on Tags to determine where the virtual servers go for scanning based on the utilization of the scan servers

* Distributed repositories – reduces all McAfee agents going to ePO for updates

- Super Agent is highly recommended

- McAfee Agent v5.0 supports peer-to-peer

* Discussed off-hours scanning for workstations – Deep Command (project)

- wakes up systems to do scanning, patching, etc.

- requires vPro Chipset
