This part time position assists with the Clerical duties of the Mayors Office and his Staff as well as plan, prepare and day off assistance of City Events. The regular schedule consists of a 16-28 hour work week, Tuesdays and Thursdays 1:00pm - 9:00pm and also weekend events between the months of April-September. Hours may adjust to dayshift after September.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Phone, reception, and office coverage for City Administration.
Complete duties and special projects assigned by members of the Mayors Administration.
Maintain strict confidential standards on behalf of the City of Lawrenceburg and Mayors Administration office.
Participate in all City events preparation and day of events, including evenings and weekends.
Assist with Music on the River concert series Split the Pot for Lawrenceburg Main St.
Assist Merchandise Booth sales at Lawrenceburg Fall Music Fest as needed.
Coordinate and assist with Lawrenceburg River Sweep and community clean up events.
Deliver notices and communication to merchants/residents with the Communications Director/Lawrenceburg Main Street.
Drive and assist with pickup of items for meeting/event/program needs.
Assist the Mayor's Assistant with assignments and projects.
Assist the Human Resources Director with assignments and projects, as needed. Maintain confidentiality regarding personnel information when assisting the Human Resources Director.
Complete HIPAA Training prior to assisting the Human Resources Director with any projects.
Assist the Human Resources Director in planning as well as day of assistance for Employee Events including, but not limited to, Employee Picnic, Health Fair, Chili Cookoff, Christmas Lunch.
Create flyers, promotional material, spreadsheets, or other documents as directed.
Assist other departments with special projects as directed.
Work will be performed in the office as well as outside during City events, rain or shine.
Safety is of the utmost importance and must be practiced at all times.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Must be at least 18 years old.
Must have a Valid Driver’s License.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel or Google Suite, and Canva.
Must have excellent written and verbal communications skills, and good customer service skills.
Must maintain a standard of professional presentation in representing the City and the office of the Mayor.
Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally, written and verbal, with visitors, Department Heads, citizens, and other City employees.

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Talk, hear, and speak. Standing for prolonged periods of times during City events. Walking, stooping, crouching. Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds unassisted and lift and pull 50 lbs with assistance.
