This role is for one of the Weekday's clients
We are collaborating with a leading frontier AI research lab on a groundbreaking mathematics and reasoning initiative. This project invites PhD students, post-doctoral researchers, and early-career professors from top institutions to advance AI’s mathematical reasoning capabilities by creating and evaluating complex mathematical problems.
Requirements:
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and develop original, graduate-level problems in pure and applied mathematics.
• Evaluate AI-generated mathematical solutions for correctness, rigor, and completeness.
• Identify logical flaws, incomplete reasoning, or inaccuracies in AI outputs.
• Provide structured, precise feedback and well-formulated solutions.
• Uphold exceptionally high standards of mathematical precision and conceptual difficulty.
Required Qualifications:
• Current PhD student, post-doctoral researcher, or recent PhD graduate (within the past 5 years) in pure or applied mathematics.
• Strong proficiency in LaTeX for writing and formatting mathematical documents.
• Demonstrated expertise in one or more of the following areas: algebra, geometry, combinatorics, number theory, analysis, probability, or closely related fields.
• Excellent written communication and the ability to clearly articulate complex reasoning.
• High attention to detail and accuracy when verifying solutions.
• Independent, reliable, and disciplined work ethic.
Engagement Details:
• Remote and flexible work — manage your own schedule.
• Commitment: Minimum 20 hours per week, up to 40 hours per week available.
• Duration: Approximately 10 weeks, with potential for extension based on performance.
• Start Date: Rolling — setup within 1–2 days of approval.
Compensation:
• $80/hour – Early-career professors at top US/UK-based institutions
• $70/hour – Post-docs & senior PhD students at top institutions globally
• $60/hour – 1st & 2nd year PhD students
Contract Terms:
• Open to applicants worldwide (English proficiency required).
• Engagement as an independent contractor.
• Weekly payments processed via Stripe Connect.
