Job Overview
1 Resource Group is seeking an experienced Materials Planner to support complex manufacturing operations. This role is critical in ensuring materials are available to meet production schedules, customer demand, and inventory goals. The ideal candidate is proactive, analytical, and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and manage material plans to support production schedules and customer demand
• Identify and resolve material shortages, constraints, and supply risks
• Collaborate with Purchasing and suppliers to ensure on-time delivery and manage lead times
• Monitor and optimize inventory levels to meet service and cost targets
• Maintain and improve planning parameters within MRP/ERP systems (safety stock, lot sizing, etc.)
• Participate in S&OP, production planning, and daily operations meetings
• Analyze forecast accuracy, demand variability, and inventory performance
• Support new product introductions and engineering changes
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within material planning and inventory processes
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and quality requirements

Requirements:
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or related field (preferred)
• 5+ years of experience in material planning, production control, or supply chain
• Strong experience with MRP/ERP systems
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and data analysis skills
• Skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple demands in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
• High level of accountability and attention to detail
• Preferred Experience
• Experience with D365 (Dynamics 365)
• Background in lean manufacturing or continuous improvement
• Experience supporting S&OP processes
Work Environment
This position is based in a manufacturing facility with a mix of office and production floor exposure. Flexibility in schedule may be required during peak production periods or supply disruptions.
