The Material Planning Specialist will support end-to-end material planning and coordination activities aligned with production schedules and demand forecasts. This role focuses on ensuring optimal inventory levels, smooth purchase order execution, and effective coordination with suppliers to support uninterrupted manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

Material Planning & Inventory Control

• Support material planning activities in line with production plans, schedules, and demand forecasts.
• Monitor and report inventory levels, lead times, and safety stock to prevent stockouts or excess inventory.
• Review ageing stock, particularly for packaging materials, and recommend corrective actions.
• Update demand changes and material requirements in ERP systems on a timely basis.

Procurement & Order Management

• Create and manage purchase requisitions and purchase orders within ERP systems.
• Track open purchase orders, manage outstanding deliveries, and follow up with suppliers.
• Handle PO confirmations, expediting, and coordination to ensure on-time material availability.
• Execute purchase order releases across multiple manufacturing locations.

Reporting & Production Tracking

• Prepare and maintain regular reports covering shortages, overdue orders, goods receipts, and inventory status.
• Track production volumes and align material supply with manufacturing output.
• Support monthly supplier forecasting reports and vendor schedule updates.

Shared & Cross-Functional Responsibilities

• Manage BOM changes, including run-out and phase-in/phase-out planning.
• Support forecast change analysis and reporting.
• Coordinate with vendors to reflect forecast updates and schedule changes.
• Collaborate with planning, procurement, and operations teams to ensure seamless material flow.
