Material Handler Tooling

Cannon Automotive, a division of Cleveland-Cliffs Tooling and Stamping has an immediate opportunity for a Material Handler Tooling in our Windsor, Ontario Stamping Facility. The Material Handler Tooling is responsible for moving materials throughout the facility. The ideal candidate will have prior Material Handling experience, be self-motivated and thrive in a fast-paced work environment. Summary of Responsibilities:

Performs manual and clerical duties related to shipping, receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing and delivering a variety of materials, equipment and supplies.

Comply with all safety procedures as required by the Health & Safety Act and/or Company practices or procedures including but not limited to the wearing of all PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as specified by the Act or designated by the Company.

Bring dies in/out of tool room.

Wash Dies as required

Set-up Dies in Tool Room

Responsible for general shop labour

Responsible for P/M on Transfer Fingers

Counts weight or measures incoming/outgoing items comparing information against bills of lading, invoices, orders or other identifying records.

Ensure product meets standards, is not damaged, or there are no shortages and communicates with shipper to rectify any deficiencies.

Operates equipment including but not limited to forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks or dollies require to move or reorganize storage.

Recommends additions/deletions to standard stock items or ordering replenishments.

Complete all relevant and required documentation prior to shift ending.

Minimum Qualifications:

Knowledge of dies, including die wash and set-up

Ability to run machinery, including grinder, mills, drill press, etc.

Ability to lift up to 23kg (50lbs)

Ability to work all shifts (days, afternoons, midnights)

Preferred Qualifications:

Valid forklift and overhead crane certificates are an asset 

1-3 years’ experience in a tooling environment

The pay range for this role is $19.00/hour to $29.00/hour.
