POSITION SUMMARY: As a Material Handler, you will play a key role in supporting production by ensuring accurate inventory management and the timely delivery of materials to the shop floor. This position is essential to maintaining workflow efficiency, organization, and safety within the manufacturing environment.
Requirements:
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
• Safely operate a forklift and complete required certifications
• Maintain accurate inventory through counting, tracking, and cycle counts
• Deliver materials to production lines and stock designated point-of-use locations
• Set up and organize storage solutions (racks, bins, carts) to prevent damage or loss
• Establish and maintain designated drop zones for material delivery and removal
• Support production teams with material movement and lifting as needed
• Process and remove rejected or non-conforming materials daily
• Dispose of waste materials and manage hopper/trash removal
• Update visual management tools (e.g., whiteboards) with part storage information
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in line with 5S standards
• Actively contributes to workplace safety and incident prevention effort
• WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
• Previous experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or materials role preferred
• Forklift operation experience (or ability to become certified)
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word
• Experience with ERP systems (Oracle preferred)
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately count and track inventory
• Self-motivated with strong organizational and teamwork skills
