Are you an organized problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment? Avery Dennison is looking for a Material Handler to serve as the "circulatory system" of our facility. In this role, you will be the primary engine moving raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods to ensure our production lines never skip a beat. We value Resilience and Collaboration, seeking team members who take ownership of inventory accuracy and site safety.
Your Impact (Day-to-Day)
• Coordinate Logistics: Load and unload trailers (trucks/tankers), verifying all materials against shipping documents for 100% accuracy.
• Inventory Precision: Use our Inventory Management System to document material movement, perform cycle counts, and resolve discrepancies.
• Production Support: Transfer racks, pallets, and supplies to manufacturing areas to meet high-volume production targets.
• Continuous Improvement: Lead recycling efforts and support 5S housekeeping to maintain a safe, high-performing workspace.
Qualifications
• Experience: High School Diploma/GED OR 3+ years of manufacturing experience.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency with computer applications (Oracle preferred) and a strong mechanical aptitude for operating equipment like forklifts.
• Adaptability: Proven ability to pivot between receiving and shipping as production priorities shift.
• Team Mindset: A "Team Before Self" attitude with a commitment to reliable attendance and helping coworkers meet site goals.
• Reliability: Willingness to work overtime, including short-notice requests, to support our customers.
Why Avery Dennison?
• Starting Pay: $22.47/hr plus $2/hr shift differential
• Shift: 3rd Shift, 10pm-6am Sunday - Tuesday
