Material Development Engineer

As Material Development Engineer you will be part of the wider Engineering function, locally and globally. You will be responsible for process development, optimisation, qualification of materials and consumables. Part of your role will also include analysis and reporting of results on associated activities, in addition to training and support of internal and external machine users and project management.

What will you own:

• While working for MF Sweden you should always follow pertinent laws. You are also responsible for following internal directives and rules concerning occupational health, safety and environment so that required permits are not put at jeopardy

• Thorough and independent execution of experimental work for components and process development

• Creating targets and schedules for activities, technology sprints and projects

• Material development and qualifications activities

• Tracking and reporting on progress and taking responsibility to reach agreed targets

• Documentation of work and results

• Responsibility and authority to stop work and processes when there is risk for injury, non compliance with work environment requirements, damage to assets or in any other way cases a risk to health and safety

• Any other duties as reasonably required

What you have:

• University degree in material engineering, metallurgy or chemistry or equivalent experience

• Proven and demonstrable work experience in appropriate field of expertise

• Knowledge of powder metallurgy

• You will be able to work independently and as part of a team

• Ability to adapt to change, with a flexible approach and attitude

• Excellent communication skill, both written and verbal, with English language a must

• Technical capability to be able to produce accurate and technically sound reporting

• Experience of Google Suite would be an advantage

Physical Demands / Working Environment:

• Normal requirement as work takes place in office / production environment

• Protective clothing required for some tasks

• Travelling may be required from time to time

Communication / Interface (stakeholders):

• Responsible for internal and external communications with appropriate stakeholders (internal: MF teams, external: customers and clients)
