About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Material Coordination Supervisor to provide direct supervision and leadership to employees in the Material Coordination unit.
This Supervisor's duties will include services to receive, store, issue, and analyze material usage for substation, communications and transmission line projects. This includes project material analyses, coordinating material deliveries, issuing project materials, maintaining database for non-stock tracking system, monitoring and maintaining the status of project materials, maintaining the status of the warehouse and 18 permanent material storage sites, requisitioning labor and equipment, completing as-built drawings, reordering material, returning deposit reels, and selecting and layout of material storage sites.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership
Provides direct supervision and leadership to employees in the Material Coordination unit
Prepares and submits Employee Performance Appraisals and makes recommendations for increases
Effectively plans, prepares, and forecasts three-year budget resources required by the Material Coordination unit
Conducts safety meetings with employees
Manages all manpower within the Material Coordination unit, including full-time employees, temporary help from outside agencies (contractors), and temporary help from other parts of the company
Receiving Project Materials
Provides direction and direct supervision to various in-house units and/or contract crews for the handling, receipt and disposition of project materials.
Schedules the delivery of project materials with the vendor and/or trucking company.
Schedule appropriate manpower and equipment to unload, load or move project materials at various material sites as needed
Inspects material before and after the offload for any visual signs of damage
Inspect material to insure the material is in accordance with engineering designs and specifications using engineering drawings and/or vendor drawings.
Check quantities received against packing slip and purchase order.
Enter receiving report using Oracle system
Issuing and Returning Project Materials
Schedule project material pick up
Inspect, inventory and issue all stock and non-stock materials received at the warehouse and material site.
Ensures that Contractor signs for all project material received at the warehouse and material site.
Submits a stolen property report for all missing materials.
Runs material return report and deliver it to the contractor at the end of the project and schedules returns.
Project Analyses
Review all as-built drawings turned in for the project by the Construction Representatives and
submit all as-built drawings turned in by Construction Representatives to the appropriate Engineering unit.
Analyze material usage on all substation, transmission and communication projects.
Submit invoice to Construction Management for contractor shortages and/or in house units.
Warehousing
Receive, identify, sort, tag and store material in the proper location.
Issue, tag and stage material for pick up.
Maintain the status of inventory at all locations.
Maintain a clean and organized warehouse and material site.

Minimum Requirements
Associates Degree in Materials Management with minimum 7 years' related experience is required or will consider a high school diploma with 10 years' experience in warehousing, inventory and/or materials management
Eligibility to work in the US without sponsorship
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
Experience with contracts and reconciling materials at the completion of a project
Forklift certification
Professionalism in working with internal and external stakeholders
Preferred Knowledge & Experience
10+ years of warehouse/material coordination experience with increasing responsibility.
Prior supervisory or management experience over warehouse staff.
Excellent communication, documentation, and leadership skills.
Oracle, GPS, Adobe, and Excel proficiency
