Job Description

We are seeking a Battery Material Engineer responsible for the development and optimization of key materials used in next-generation lithium-ion and solid-state batteries.This role involves end-to-end ownership of one or more material systems, such as cathode (high-Ni NMC), anode (graphite + SiC), separator, binder, or collector foil.

Key Responsibilities:


Lead the formulation, development, and implementation of advanced battery materials and related processes.


Collaborate with global material suppliers to evaluate and integrate the latest innovations into production.


Design and execute DOE (Design of Experiments) to optimize performance and validate new formulations.


Incorporate new materials into existing chemical systems to enhance cell performance, stability, and longevity.


Drive the development of new materials and process platforms in alignment with the company’s technical roadmap.


Conduct and lead failure analysis (FA) and technical troubleshooting related to materials and manufacturing processes.


Provide technical documentation and cross-functional support to R&D and manufacturing teams.

Requirements


Education: Master’s degree or higher in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.


Experience: Minimum 3 years in material or product development, with solid experience in lithium-ion battery materials.


Proven ability to independently lead material or product development projects.


Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including data analysis and failure analysis experience.


Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.


Experience in customer-facing technical discussions; background in EV battery development is highly preferred.
