Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Master Electrician to lead, oversee, and support electrical projects in residential and/or commercial environments. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and support journeymen and apprentice electricians on job sites
Assist in heat pump installations, including all necessary electrical work
Pull necessary permits and arrange post inspection
Plan, coordinate, and execute electrical installations, repairs, and service upgrades
Oversee permitting, inspections, and compliance with Technical Safety BC and Canadian Electrical Code (CEC)
Troubleshoot complex electrical systems and diagnose issues
Review electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documents
Ensure high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety protocols
Provide guidance, coaching, and on-the-job training to apprentices
Maintain accurate project documentation and reports
Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and team members
Assist with estimating, project planning, and material procurement
Qualifications & Requirements
Valid Master Electrician Certification (BC)
Valid Electrician Red Seal and/or FSR Certification (e.g., FSR B, A, or higher)
Minimum of 4 years’ experience in residential electrical work
Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record
In-depth understanding of BC electrical codes, regulations, and permit processes
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Physically capable of performing electrical work in various environments
Preferred Assets (Optional)
Experience managing multiple projects or running crews
Familiarity with estimating software or project management tools
Experience with EV charger installations, smart home systems, or energy efficiency technologies
First Aid, WHMIS, Fall Protection, or other safety certifications
