Deep Creek Youth Academy in Deep Creek, Florida, is a residential treatment center serving boys ages 12 to 17. The program provides trauma-informed care, mental health and substance abuse treatment, and education in a structured environment. Youth typically remain in care based on individualized treatment plans, participating in individual, family, and group therapy, restorative justice, vocational preparation, and enrichment activities such as art, recreation, and life skills development. Small group living units support emotional stabilization, growth, and community reintegration.

Position Summary – Key Control (Master Control Operator) Job in Deep Creek, Florida
We are hiring a Key Control (Master Control Operator) to support facility security operations at Deep Creek Youth Academy. This role is ideal for individuals with attention to detail, strong observation skills, and a commitment to providing a safe and supportive environment for youth. You will monitor security systems, control access, and assist staff in maintaining a secure residential setting.

Key Control Responsibilities

Monitor security cameras, alarms, and access points throughout the facility

Maintain accurate logs of keys, access, and security equipment

Respond promptly to emergencies, incidents, or alarms

Assist staff in implementing safety and security protocols

Communicate effectively with team members regarding facility operations

Other Duties Include

Participate in training and development activities as required

Perform other duties as assigned or needed

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Ability to pass background check and drug screen

Strong observation, communication, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Experience

Previous experience in security, residential care, or related field

Familiarity with facility security procedures and emergency protocols

Other Requirements

Physical Demands: Must be able to lift 30 pounds from floor to shoulder height. Extensive walking and standing required. Must be capable of detecting and rapidly responding to client altercations, attempts at self-harm, or escape attempts, and able to apply approved physical restraint techniques. Able to participate with clients in active or passive activities in indoor and outdoor environments.

Other: Must maintain an appropriate and valid state driver’s license if required. Must meet state criminal background check requirements.
