About the Role

We are currently deep in the development of the next chapter of our digital presence—a modern, performance-driven site built on WordPress Block Theme.

We are looking for a Marketing Web Developer to join us. You will primarily step into an active build to help us launch our new platform, while also providing support for our current site as needed during the transition. Subsequently, you will help drive the technical evolution of our marketing engine alongside our internal team.

You have deep expertise in modern WordPress (Gutenberg/Blocks), but you are also comfortable in a React stack, specifically managing our complex lead generation forms. You will partner with our existing technical team to ensure our site is secure, accessible, and data-driven.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop & Maintain: Play a key role in the development of Iterable's marketing website, ensuring a seamless, responsive, and visually appealing user experience across all devices.

• Complex React Integration: Maintain and enhance our custom lead generation forms built on a React stack. You will ensure these forms communicate correctly with our APIs and MarTech platforms.

• Accelerate the New Build: Collaborate with the team to ship our new Block Theme-based site. You will write clean, semantic code to finalize layouts and functionality.

• Analytics & Data: Go beyond basic tracking. You will implement custom analytics events (GA4/GTM) to track user behavior precisely and ensure data integrity for the marketing team.

• Performance & Optimization: Proactively monitor page speed (Core Web Vitals) and SEO technical health. You will identify bottlenecks and implement solutions to keep the site lightning-fast.

• Security & Reliability: Work with the technical team to ensure website scalability and maintain security standards.

• Strategic Input: You aren't just a ticket-taker. You will provide technical recommendations for improvements regarding loading times, architecture, and user experience.

Technical Requirements

• Modern WordPress: Deep experience with Block Themes, theme.json, and Full Site Editing (FSE). You prefer native WordPress solutions over heavy page builders, and prefer to build your own solutions over stacking piles of plugins.

• React & JS Proficiency: Solid understanding of React.js to manage our lead-gen forms, along with modern vanilla JavaScript (ES6+).

• Analytics Implementation: Proven experience setting up and debugging Google Tag Manager and creating custom events in GA4. You understand the data layer.

• API Integrations: Experience connecting websites to third-party MarTech platforms (e.g., CRMs, Marketing Automation tools) via REST/GraphQL APIs.

• Web Fundamentals: Strong grasp of SEO best practices, semantic HTML5, and Web Accessibility standards.

• Version Control: Proficiency with Git and collaborative workflows (Pull Requests).

Soft Skills & Operational Excellence

• Communication: You can translate complex technical concepts into plain English for business owners and marketing stakeholders.

• Detail-Oriented: You have a QA mindset. You meticulously check for responsiveness, accessibility issues, and cross-browser compatibility before shipping.

• Task Management: Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. You can balance urgent hotfixes with long-term development work.

• Collaborative: You thrive working closely with other developers and designers to implement pixel-perfect UIs and with marketers to understand campaign requirements.
