SUMMARY
The Marketing Specialist will execute and manage a variety of marketing initiatives, including social media, email, direct mail, content creation, advertising, local events, and customer engagement programs in United’s new market launch areas.
As part of the New Market Launch Team, this role will actively build brand awareness through social media and community engagement. The ideal candidate is eager to grow their marketing expertise, delivers customer-focused results, and is adaptable to the needs of both internal teams and customers.
POSITION SCHEDULE AND ONSITE REQUIREMENTS
This is a full-time, direct-hire position based out of our Franklin, TN office. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and the role is fully on-site. Occasional attendance at events outside of standard business hours, including evenings and weekends, will be required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties include the following, but other duties may be assigned as required.
Collaborate with United Communications Sales and Marketing teams to plan and execute programs that drive residential and business sales in new market areas, with an initial focus on Franklin, TN.
Develop, manage, execute, and measure marketing plans across multiple channels, including email, direct mail, social media, content creation, sales enablement, traditional and digital advertising, website content, customer testimonials, pricing and promotions, and referral programs.
Create messaging strategies and determine optimal frequency and touchpoints for email, direct mail, and social campaigns.
Develop, write, edit, post, and manage social media content; engage with audiences by responding to comments in the United brand voice.
Monitor and analyze social media performance, optimizing content, messaging, and placement to improve engagement, brand awareness, and sales.
Assist in creating hyper-local marketing collateral (print and digital) for new market launches.
Support development of website content, blogs, news articles, and video content (writing, production, and posting).
Contribute to lead generation strategies that drive conversions.
Partner with customers to develop case studies, testimonials, and referral content.
Support market analysis efforts, particularly across direct mail, email, and social channels.
Provide support at company-sponsored and grassroots events, including booth staffing in new market areas.
Coordinate with internal marketing teams and external agencies to ensure timely execution of initiatives.
Conduct competitive market research and recommend pricing and promotional strategies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support and monitor strategic marketing initiatives.
Analyze and report on campaign performance and overall marketing effectiveness in new market launch areas.
WHAT YOU BRING
Required Qualifications
High school diploma with a recent marketing certification, or a bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field
3+ years of experience in a B2B or B2C marketing role
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field
3+ years of experience in the telecommunications or ISP industry
Relevant marketing certifications (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe, American Marketing Association)
Strong storytelling, conceptual, and design skills with the ability to provide creative solutions
