Informa Markets, a division within Informa, creates global platforms for industries. We organise over 500 large-scale branded and transaction-oriented events in 14 specialist markets. These are typically not-to-be-missed annual events where buyers and sellers build relationships, see and show products and do business.
We also provide year-round online platforms where companies showcase their businesses and products and buyers conduct research, generating valuable leads, and we provide data and digital content that supports the flow of knowledge and transactions in markets.
1. Strategic Marketing Planning
• Develop a comprehensive, industry-aligned and actionable marketing strategy for Marintec China , with clear key milestones to drive successful event delivery, enhance global influence and achieve core business objectives (e.g., international visitor/supplier growth, brand leadership consolidation).
2. Global Maritime Trade Association & Partnership Management
• Proactively cultivate, develop and maintain long-term strategic partnerships with global maritime trade associations , government maritime authorities, and key industry media outlets to leverage their resources for event promotion and internationalization.
• Identify and foster high-value international strategic partnerships (including overseas sister events, maritime industry clusters, and global business chambers) to enhance Marintec China's global profile, expand international reach, and drive cross-border visitor/supplier acquisition.
• Oversee the development and implementation of integrated global media plans (covering international maritime trade publications, digital platforms, and industry forums) to maximize Marintec China's global awareness, drive targeted international traffic, and secure extensive industry-specific media coverage.
3. External Agency Management
• Evaluate, select and manage external agencies to support global marketing strategy execution, ensuring alignment with Marintec China's brand positioning and internationalization goals.
4. International Buyer & VIP Maritime Stakeholder Engagement
• Lead the sourcing, outreach and confirmation of high-profile, industry-relevant speakers from the global maritime sector for targeted sector forums and conference sessions.
• Take charge of international VIP guest relationship management
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration for Internationalization Goals
• Work closely with internal stakeholders, including Marintec China Event Project Managers, International Sales Managers and Global Marketing Leadership, to ensure alignment of internationalization objectives, seamless information flow and coordinated execution of cross-border marketing initiatives.
• Establish and refine Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for internal collaboration, optimizing the efficient and effective utilization of internal resources. 
• Bachelor’s degree or above in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or a related field.
• Minimum 6 years of progressive experience in strategic marketing, media relations or event management (preferably in B2B events).
• Established and strong professional network within the global maritime industry, including key international maritime trade associations, leading shipping/shipbuilding companies, maritime technology providers and industry media.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
• Proven track record of managing multiple stakeholders simultaneously and delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
• Demonstrated experience in planning and executing international B2B event marketing/PR campaigns, as well as successfully securing high-profile maritime industry speakers and engaging with global trade associations.
• Fluency in both English , Cantonese and Mandarin (written and spoken)
