Overview of the role
An exciting role has opened at the Arc Network on our financial services portfolio for leading brands including Investment Week, Professional Pensions, COVER and more. The role will be focused on all aspects of marketing, including events, awards, memberships and commercial lead generation. The Marketing Manager will also be involved in responsibilities for the overall brand position. They will work closely with the Group Marketing Director and cross-departments to deliver events and other projects. You will need to be proactive, efficient, organised and target driven. You will also need to be able to manage other marketers.
The role will suit an experienced marketer who is keen to put their marketing skills to the test and help grow successful brands.
You’ll be joining a fun, supportive, and hardworking wider marketing team where ideas are welcome, creativity is encouraged, and support is given.
To be successful in this role you will need to have at least four years of experience within a marketing role, looking to take your next step up to the senior level. You will also have strong attention to detail and writing skills, as well as being used to working with key stakeholders.
What you will be doing
The key responsibilities for this role are:
Managing the day-to-day marketing of events (a mixture of conferences, webinars, roundtables and awards) on the financial services brands using the full marketing mix
Managing the day-to-day marketing of the brands to increase social following, free / paid membership numbers, website traffic
Marketing campaigns to generate leads to the sales team for events and other products/services and monitor progress via Salesforce
Executing marketing plans, producing high quality, response-driven marketing campaigns that integrate online and offline marketing activities
Managing the leads, and monitor the progress of the telesales support on events and awards campaigns
Liaising with relevant departments internally to ensure effective marketing of events – sales, operations, editorial, design, customer services
Ensuring content is current, accurate and relevant across our website and event collateral
Managing social media networks including LinkedIn; promoting the groups to ensure growth as well as managing content and PPC
Closely monitor and report registrations versus target on all events, updating central sheets to ensure accurate financial reporting at group level
Regular monitoring and reporting of marketing spend against budget
Attend events and assist with registration and other logistical activities
Manage at least one team member
What we value
Any experience of the financial services industry would be advantageous but not essential
4 years prior marketing events experience
Organised and self-motivated with lots of energy and enthusiasm to hit and exceed targets
Excellent attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Capable of multi-tasking and prioritising
