About the Role
Join the Nomex® and Kevlar® Personal Protection business as a Marketing Communications Intern, supporting communications activities across North America. Our team creates and executes communications plans that promote high‑performance protective solutions used in industries such as Oil & Gas, Manufacturing, Utilities, Emergency Response, and the Military.
This internship is ideal for a student who wants to gain hands‑on experience in a fast-paced B2B environment and to support the execution of the robust annual Marketing Communications plan for the region.
The role can be hybrid (mostly WFH) in the Richmond VA area, Houston, TX area or fully remote* in the US.
Profile:
Student ideally currently in 2nd or 3rd year of a degree in Communications, Marketing, PR, Journalism, or related field
Interest and knowledge in digital marketing, social media, branding, advertising and content creation is a must
Strong organizational and time‑management skills
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Prior internship experience in marketing is a plus, but not required
This role may engage in activities like:
Support planning and execution of marketing communications activities for NA
Help coordinate organization of tradeshows, webinars, and events
Assist with proofreading content creation for web, social media and promotional campaigns
Ensure consistent branding across communications materials
Collaborate with external agencies on creative and digital tasks
Track digital performance metrics and support reporting
General support in administrative tasks including (but not limited to) vendor payments and tradeshow logistics
Capabilities We Value:
Familiarity with social platforms management/advertising: LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, Google Ads
SEO and website content development basics
Experience with tools like AI, Canva, Adobe, Photoshop or Illustrator for asset creation is a plus
Proofreading and editing skills
Comfortable coordinating tasks or projects across cross-functional teams
Strong attention to detail and organization skills
Ability to manage deadlines
Knowledge around measuring campaign performance (e.g. impressions, engagement, CTR etc.)
