Market Strategist

Moomoo Australia and New Zealand is seeking a strong communicator to be an essential part of our team in helping the users (and potential users) of our trading platform achieve their goals through investing in financial markets.

Every day you will unpack trends, events and developments in financial markets to a hungry audience, keen to understand what is happening and what opportunities exist for them.

The role works with the broader marketing team to produce a range of content across various channels to reach our audience, including audio, video and written output, such as our ‘daily moo’ podcast. The Market Strategist also fields frequent media queries, sharing their expertise on financial markets across TV, radio and digital media.

This includes attending events, and public speaking on occasion. The role is an ambassador for the moomoo brand across Australasia, communicating our knowledge and expertise in financial markets and the moomoo trading platform to various audiences.

For this in-office role based in Sydney’s CBD, we are most interested in those with enthusiasm and keen interest in, and ability to, encourage others in their investing journey. Key duties

• Work with the content team to produce a daily video, audio and written content.

• Respond to media queries on financial markets in a timely and professional manner.
• Stay up to date on financial markets, especially key trends, ready to share your insights.
• Promote the value and power of the moomoo trading platform to broad audiences.
• Appear at events, occasionally delivering in-person presentations on financial markets.

Requirements:
• Strong, engaging communication style on camera, in person and in interviews.
• Experience as a market analyst or strategist, with solid knowledge of US and Australian financial markets, as well as commodities and macro considerations.
• Able to explain complex ideas simply and grab audience attention.
• Degree in finance, economics, commerce or a related discipline. CFA or CMT desirable.
• RG146 compliant and understanding of financial markets communications regulations.
• Self-motivated, with a good analytical mindset and ability to work under pressure.
