Market Development Manager (m/f/d) - Greece & Cyprus

As Market Development Manager (m/f/d), you will join our Markets Team to lead the strategic expansion and operational optimization of the Greece and Cyprus markets.

 

Responsibilities

• Identify and activate key local growth levers across customer experience, marketing and commercial performance
• Co-create, localize, and structure market-specific marketing activations in alignment with global teams
• Drive marketplace expansion by generating and qualifying new local leads to onboard new sellers
• Collaborate closely with marketing, tech, logistics, customer service, and other teams to ensure seamless execution
• Manage internal stakeholders as well as external partners and service providers to deliver on business priorities
• Ensure operational excellence by monitoring and optimizing shop, logistics, and payment KPIs.
• Contribute to company-wide projects, such as  payment integrations (business case, roadmap development, and implementation)
• Manage the planning and execution of strategic initiatives and cross-functional projects

Requirements

• Very good university degree in business management or comparable degree
• Experience in an eCommerce or Management Consultancy company (or similar)
• Profound knowledge of the Greek culture and retail landscape
• Proficient with MS Office (especially Excel)
• Native speaker competence in Greek (oral & written)
• Fluency in English (oral & written)
• Distinct understanding of numbers and analytical way of working
• Strong communicational skills and stakeholder management
• Entrepreneurial spirit and sense of responsibility
