Marine Yard Worker

Kirk Marine is looking to recruit a Marine Yard Worker. If you are passionate about boats and the marine industry, then this may be the role for you. 

Job Knowledge & Abilities: 

Cleaning boats and SeaDoo's, removing new units from crates, helping mechanics with service-work, trailer assembly & repair.

Perform routine maintenance on all equipment throughout the yard.

Clean and prepare inside or outside work areas allowing smooth transitions between projects.

Movement of boats to and from off-site locations including haul & launch.

Maintain an organized yard and load/unload deliveries.

Facility maintenance, grounds keeping duties, basic clean up around the yard, etc.

Cut and repackage fiberglass cloths and resins.

Required Skills: 

Mechanical know-how and ability.

Basic knowledge and use of hand tools.

Customer Service is key, must have good communication skills and pleasant demeanor.

Be technically sound in operating various material handling equipment; forklift, hand truck, dollies, trailers etc.

Be skilled in maintaining and using pressure washers or other small equipment.

Haul/launch and block vessels utilizing boat hauler, trailer and boat stands.

Valid driver's license with an acceptable clear record required.

Work Hours:

40 hour work week; willingness to work weekends, public holidays and flexible hours if required.

Compensation:

CI$10.00 per hour, starting rate.
