Marine Intern, Beijing

The ICCT is looking for an intern to join our office in Beijing, working to support China marine-related projects. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in the nonprofit sector, and decarbonization business.  

You will: 

Participate in research projects related to shipping electrification and decarbonization. 

Conduct technical research and quantitative analysis under the guidance of ICCT researchers. 

Support information collection, report translation and project communication materials drafting. 

Perform other tasks as assigned based on project needs. 

You have: 

Senior undergraduate or graduate student currently enrolled; majors in marine engineering, environmental science and engineering, or related fields are preferred. 

Knowledge of or project experience related to ship electrification, shipping decarbonization, or renewable energies is preferred. 

Proficiency in MS Office. 

Ability to work with databases using statistical languages/softwares such as R, Python and Tableau is preferred. 

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Chinese and English. 

Availability to work at least 3 days per week, with a minimum internship duration of 6 months. 

Our benefits  

The internship contract will have a duration of 6 months, with a potential extension to 12 months. You will work in our Beijing office and be guided by our experienced researchers. ICCT will provide a laptop and other office equipment as needed. We are offering a salary of CNY 3,362 a month (3 days a week), or an amount proportional to the workload allowed by your university.
