Job Description
Company Overview
We are a high-growth startup building next-generation high‑performance switching systems for hyperscale and AI data centers. Our platforms power large-scale cloud infrastructure, GPU clusters, and high-density compute environments where performance, reliability, and thermal efficiency are critical to customer operations.
Position Summary
The Manufacturing Quality Engineer will lead manufacturing quality for high-speed networking hardware across the full lifecycle from development through high-volume production. The role works closely with engineering, operations, and manufacturing partners across Asia to ensure product reliability, yield performance, and robust manufacturing processes for both air‑cooled and liquid‑cooled infrastructure platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Own product quality performance from NPI through mass production ramp.
Define quality requirements in collaboration with the rest of the quality/engineering teams.
Define and track key metrics including DPPM, yield, reliability trends, and field failure rates.
Define and drive implementation of SOP for manufacturing in association with NH engineering and CMs.
Support product development phases including EVT, DVT, and PVT builds.
Drive Design for Quality (DFQ) activities including DFMEA, PFMEA, and manufacturing control plans.
Drive Design for Scale (DFS) and Design of Manufacturing (DFM) with NH Engineering.
Work directly with EMS/ODM partners to establish robust manufacturing processes and inspection strategies.
Lead structured root cause analysis using 8D, 5‑Why, and statistical data analysis.
Partner with engineering teams to resolve hardware reliability, thermal, power, and system integration issues.
Support reliability validation including HALT, HASS, environmental, and stress testing.
Lead corrective and preventive action (CAPA) programs across suppliers and contract manufacturers.
Develop supplier quality requirements and perform supplier process audits.
Ensure manufacturing and reliability quality for both air‑cooled and liquid‑cooled data center hardware platforms.
Support hyperscale customer quality reviews, audits, and failure analysis investigations.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Thermal Engineering, or related field.
8+ years of experience in hardware or manufacturing quality engineering.
Experience supporting data center networking equipment, servers, or high‑performance compute hardware.
Hands-on experience working with contract manufacturers (EMS/ODM) in Asia.
Strong experience supporting NPI programs through production ramp.
Experience supporting reliability and manufacturing of air‑cooled and/or liquid‑cooled data center systems.
Strong understanding of failure analysis and structured root cause methodologies.
Experience in SMT processes and box-build production with high ball count BGAs
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with high-speed networking platforms (100G / 200G / 400G / 800G Ethernet).
Experience supporting hyperscale cloud or AI infrastructure customers.
Experience with liquid cooling technologies including cold plates, direct‑to‑chip cooling, CDUs, or immersion systems.
Knowledge of high-speed PCB manufacturing, optics, signal integrity, and power delivery.
Experience with reliability testing methodologies such as HALT/HASS, MTBF analysis, and environmental qualification.
Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
Key Competencies
Strong analytical and statistical problem‑solving skills.
Ability to lead cross‑functional teams across engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain.
Data‑driven decision making and quality metrics management.
Ability to operate effectively in a fast‑paced startup environment with high ownership.
Travel Requirements
Approximately 50–60% travel within Asia to support suppliers and manufacturing partners. On-site support preferable.
