Job Title: Production Lead – Wire Harness ManufacturingLocation: Chandler, AZSchedule: Full-Time | 9/80 Work Schedule (Week 1: Mon–Fri 8-hr days | Week 2: Mon–Thurs 10-hr days)Pay: $22–$27/hour, Depending on Experience (DOE)
Company Overview:At Qualastat, we specialize in high-quality wire harness and fiber optic assemblies for demanding industries including aerospace and defense. We're looking for a proactive, hands-on Production Lead to oversee our day-to-day manufacturing operations and drive quality, efficiency, and team performance at our Chandler, AZ facility.
Key Responsibilities:
Production Oversight & Scheduling
•
Manage daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules
•
Assign tasks based on technician skillsets and workload demands
•
Monitor productivity and ensure efficient job flow
•
Resolve production bottlenecks and provide real-time support
Quality & Compliance
•
Ensure assemblies meet internal and customer specifications
•
Support in-process inspections and enforce SOPs
•
Maintain quality standards per AS9100, ISO9001, and IPC/WHMA guidelines
•
Address quality issues and implement process improvements
Team Leadership & Training
•
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to Assembly Technicians
•
Lead onboarding and training of new hires
•
Develop cross-training and skill development plans
•
Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture
Floor & Equipment Management
•
Maintain workstation layout, tools, and materials availability
•
Support inventory, shipping/receiving, and floor organization
Hands-On Support
•
Perform wire harness and fiber optic cable assemblies as needed
•
Conduct soldering, inspections, and functional testing
Minimum Qualifications:
•
High school diploma or equivalent
•
3–5 years of wire harness or fiber optic assembly experience
•
Prior experience in a leadership or team lead role preferred
•
Ability to read technical drawings and assembly instructions
•
Strong soldering and cable assembly skills
•
Proficiency in hand tools and inspection equipment
•
Strong communication and organizational skills
•
Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, Windows OS)
•
Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a background check
•
Fluent in English (read, speak, and write)
