American Battery Technology Company (ABTC) provides technical development and commercialization of domestic, sustainable sourcing of critical battery materials through lithium-ion battery recycling and battery metal extraction technologies for use in batteries that power electric cars, grid storage applications, and consumer electronics and tools. Our first of kind systems produce commercial-scale battery materials that are sold into the battery manufacturing supply chain.
As a Manufacturing & Material Flow Intern at ABTC, you will immerse yourself in the dynamic world of battery technology. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience while supporting our manufacturing team in analyzing and optimizing material flow processes. You will work under the guidance of experienced professionals, contribute to various projects aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, and be involved in continuous improvement initiatives that align with our sustainability goals. This internship is designed to equip you with essential skills and real-world insights, making a meaningful impact in our fast-paced environment.
Requirements:
• Pursuing a degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, or related field).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes and an understanding of material flow concepts.
• Excellent communication and collaborative skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Basic knowledge of data analysis tools (e.g., Tableau, MATLAB, Python) is a plus.
• Able to learn quickly and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
• Previous internship or relevant project experience in a manufacturing or engineering setting.
• Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) is a bonus.
Physical Demands: Must be able to stand for prolonged periods, walk throughout the plant, and lift items up to 25 lbs. Comfortable wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety glasses and protective footwear.
