A Day in the Life
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
Execute daily line maintenance activities pertaining to equipment repair event and process monitoring.
Conduct scheduled Preventive Maintenance (PM) on production equipment and ensure timely updates to the preventive maintenance schedule within Indysoft.
Administer process operating document training and certification for production operators.
Provide support to Engineering in the execution of equipment qualification activities, including equipment setup and testing.
Perform 5S housekeeping practices and address safety hazards related to production equipment or work areas.
Conduct daily shift pass-downs to communicate areas of concern and equipment issues to the team.
Perform daily inspections and provide timely updates for Organization Alignment and Prioritization (OAPP)/ fabriq events as assigned.
Complete required Cornerstone training modules within the specified timeframes.
Conduct daily reviews and provide timely updates to the preventive maintenance schedule.
Perform installations, maintenance, and repairs on manufacturing line or plant equipment.
Identify and diagnose malfunctions, replace faulty components, and perform fundamental troubleshooting utilizing standard electronic equipment, detailed schematics, diagrams, sketches, specifications, blueprints, manuals, and both verbal and written instructions.
Maintain accurate maintenance and repair logs.
Utilize a variety of hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
Potentially redesign optical, vacuum, electrical, electronic, or mechanical systems for integration into existing manufacturing equipment.
Potentially estimate labor and equipment expenses and prepare purchase requisitions as needed.
Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) is advantageous.Job Specific Summary:
As a Manufacturing Maintenance Technician at Medtronic Singapore, you will play a vital role in supporting our manufacturing and production operations.
You will perform intermediate-level installation, maintenance, and repair tasks on a variety of manufacturing and plant equipment, helping ensure optimal
equipment performance and minimal downtime. You will use your technical skills to diagnose issues, interpret technical documentation, and carry out repairs, while maintaining accurate records and supporting process improvements. This position provides opportunities to coach new team members and contribute to Medtronic’s commitment to quality and operational excellence.

• Perform daily check and timely update for OAPP/OAPPV2 event when assigned.
• Perform timely complete the cornerstone training when assigned.
• Perform daily check and timely update for preventive maintenance schedule
• Performs installation, maintenance, and repairs on line manufacturing or plant equipment.
• Locates and diagnoses failures, replaces defective components, and performs basic troubleshooting using standard electronic equipment, detailed drawings, diagrams, sketches, specifications, prints, manuals, and verbal and/or written instructions.
• Maintains appropriate maintenance and repair logs.
• Uses a variety of hand, power, and test tools and equipment.
• May redesign optical, vacuum, electrical, electronic, or mechanical systems for incorporation on existing manufacturing equipment.
• May estimate labor and equipment costs and prepare requisitions as required.
• Good to have experience with Programmable Logic Controller (PLC)
Required Knowledge and Experience:
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in equipment maintenance, repair, or a similar technical field.
• Vocational or technical education or certification (required in Singapore).
• Strong knowledge of maintenance and troubleshooting techniques for manufacturing equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents, schematics, and manuals.
• Experience with hand, power, and test tools.
• Good documentation and data entry skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality standards
