Job Description
• Production Support and Daily Operations:
• Work with Group Leads, Team Members, and Operations regarding the production schedule and materials/parts needed for that day
• Deliver stock to workstations and replenish stock to meet production schedule
• Communicate with Team Leads, Shipping & Receiving and Purchasing as needed
• Support Daily Stand-up meeting by providing status updates on material availability, workstation readiness and any observed production constraints
• Quality Safety, Workplace organization, Lean and Continuous Improvements:
• Maintain productivity, safety, and quality standards
• Ensure the work environment is clean and safe
• Assist with lean manufacturing process audits to include Kaizen events and 5S practice
• Participate in root cause investigations and analysis
• Assist with data collection such as cycle times, takt time observations and scrap counts
• Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Education/Training (both required and desired):
• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Currently pursuing or recent graduate of a Bachelor’s Degree in relevant engineering or science discipline desired
• Enrollment in Manufacturing Engineering program preferred
Experience:
• 0+ years of professional experience in the required task area
Security:
• Must be a US citizen
• Ability to obtain a security clearance may be required
Physical Requirements:
• Able to assess, install, and modify equipment, and inspect machinery
• Able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, grasp and reach with hands and arms, handle and operate hand/power tools and machine controls
• Perform frequent wrist, hand, and finger movements
• Prolonged periods of standing while operating machinery
• Adhere to all safety protocols, including wearing appropriate safety gear (e.g., eyewear, gloves, masks, hearing protection, etc.) for the assigned task
• Able to safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds at a time
