Manufacturing Engineer - Internship

• Provide support to Manufacturing Engineering personnel as assigned.
• Work effectively as a M.E. support member to ensure operational metrics are achieved and any remedial action is actively pursued.
• Help maintain current updates on manufacturing engineering related tasks on the manufacturing cell log.
• Design or specify assigned equipment/tooling/racking required to support manufacturing.
• Assist with assigning default locators to parts within assigned manufacturing cells.
• Help update standard work instructions and assist with training as assigned.
• Help update and maintain layouts (plant & cell layouts, inventory, housekeeping, emergency, and security maps, etc.)
• Participate and help facilitate lean manufacturing initiatives. (5S, value stream mapping, set-up reduction, etc.)
• Participate with continuous improvement and team work.
• Conduct process observations as assigned to ensure that assigned time standards are fair and consistent.
• Participate in Material Review Board (MRB) meetings as assigned, to assist with the disposition of non-conforming materials.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
• Must be currently engaged in a 4-year engineering degree program
• Experience with Auto CAD or UniGraphics
• Experience with Microsoft office applications: PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook.
• Must be organizes, punctual , and professional
• Able to walk, bend, climb, sit and stand for extended periods of time.
