DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Troubleshooting equipment that is down
• Hands on type person who can work on equipment as well as train individuals in processes and equipment fixes
• Manage projects and follow through with details
• Design small brackets and fixtures
• Work on continuous improvement projects
• Work with quality on Corrective action solutions
• Work on cost reduction projects
• Responsible for equipment uptime
• Report any potential food safety, quality of food defense concerns to the plant manager or quality personnel
• Follow all documented Good Manufacturing Practices
• Maintain product safety, legality, regulatory compliance and quality systems
• Other duties as needed
• Must Follow All Company Policies and Procedures
SKILLS REQUIRED:
• 0 to 5 years experience in a Manufacturing Engineering role
• Experience with Flexible Packaging, sealing machines and or injection molding preferred is plus
• CAD experience preferred
• Engineering degree, in Mechanical, Electrical, Packaging or Plastics Engineering
• Programming of PLC’s a plus
• Willingness to learn as well as teach
• Converting or film knowledge a plus
• Ability to learn quickly
