Who we are
FLT designs and manufactures outdoor lighting for public places such as walkways, parks, and parking lots. Our solar lighting products don’t require a connection to the grid, saving time, money, and energy. And because of our proprietary technology, FLT’s lights work right out of the box, producing reliable, quality light all night, every night.
The role
We’re looking for a motivated individual to join our production team as a Manufacturing Assembler. You’ll help build, test, and ship the world’s smartest solar lighting products. This hands-on role is ideal for someone with excellent attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and a collaborative mindset.
This is a full-time, permanent role on-site at our warehouse location in Victoria, BC. Our team works 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday from 7am-3:30pm (some evenings and overtime may be required).
Salary: $50,000 - $55,000 CAD annually
What you’ll do
Assemble, solder, test, and inspect electrical and mechanical components
Operate hand tools and light power tools safely and accurately
Follow detailed assembly procedures and documentation
Maintain quality standards and complete required documentation
Support production flow by preparing workstations and kitting orders
Participate in continuous improvement and Lean Manufacturing initiatives
Support warehouse functions including shipping, receiving, sorting, and stocking
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Assist in yearly inventory counts
Contribute to achieving daily operational goals
Perform other duties as needed
What you bring
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
Experience in production, electromechanical assembly, or shipping
Proficient with hand tools and light power tools
Reliable, dependable, and a strong team player
Excellent manual dexterity and hand/eye coordination
Comfortable standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 lbs
Basic computer skills and math skills
Nice to have
Familiarity with 5S and Lean Manufacturing principles
Previous experience in manufacturing or electronics is an asset
