GeoSpectrum is growing and has a new career opportunity for an experienced Manufacturing Assembler!
Reporting to the Manager of Core Manufacturing, the Manufacturing Assembler plays an important hands‑on role in building acoustic components and sub‑assemblies using established assembly documentation and processes. This position involves working closely with product designs and assembly instructions, including part preparation, sealing, and assembling to standardized plans.
The Manufacturing Assembler position requires a passion for building using mechanical, electrical, and technical skills, exceptional attention to detail, ability to use hand and power tools with dexterity and hand-eye coordination, working to timelines. The Assembler also inspects completed work to ensure quality standards are met, contributes to documentation, participates in continuous improvement efforts, and collaborates as part of a skilled, supportive team alongside Manufacturing and Engineering colleagues.

Responsibilities
Read and interpret detailed manufacturing documentation, including drawings, assembly procedures, routing cards, schematics, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
Assemble components and sub‑assemblies in accordance with defined processes and quality standards.
Work as part of a skilled, collaborative team to hand‑assemble components and assemblies while maintaining precise manufacturing tolerances.
Follow detailed manufacturing procedures and product documentation to ensure accurate and consistent builds.
Apply a variety of skilled assembly techniques, including bonded assembly, encapsulation, and the use of hand tools to fasten, attach, and secure parts.
Prepare materials for assembly through solvent cleaning and abrasive surface preparation.
Use approved chemicals, adhesives, and compounds to bond and encapsulate components.
Complete production and quality documentation accurately in accordance with ISO 9001 requirements.
Identify products or components that do not meet quality standards and follow established quarantine procedures when required.
Use a range of testing and measurement equipment to verify product specifications.
Apply labels, company branding, and exterior details, and package completed products for shipment.
Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard‑free workstation by caring for equipment, keeping the production floor tidy, and following all health and safety procedures, rules, and regulations.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED equivalent, and/or relevant hands‑on workplace experience.
Experience working in a detail‑oriented, hands‑on assembly environment.
Soldering experience with strong manual dexterity; the ability to solder to IPC‑A‑610 and IPC‑620 Class 3 standards is considered an asset.
Strong computer literacy skills.
Excellent reading comprehension, writing, and documentation abilities.
Experience working with engineering documentation, or a willingness to learn.
Occupational Health and Safety and WHMIS certification, or the ability to successfully obtain certification.
Security Requirements
