Join our team as a Manufacturing Area Coordinator!
This position is responsible for coordinating manufacturing cell operations to achieve productivity and quality requirements. Provides work direction, training, and guidance for Finishing and Manufacturing Support employees within manufacturing cells.
Shift - 12a-6a Thur, 6p-6a Fri and Sat, 8p-6a Sun
What You Will Do :
• Coordinate and prioritize daily workload and activities in the manufacturing cell
• Execute production sequences and assignments to meet production goals
• Confer with supervisors, quality inspector leads, trainers and other coordinators to facilitate operations and activities within or between shifts and other functional areas
• Coordinate with molding personnel on schedule and start-ups
• Support Finishing Operators so that all presses are properly staffed during break times
• Provide directions and instructions to assure parts are packaged according to requirements
• Ensure that order quantities and customer specifications have been met
• Identify quality issues relating to trimming, injection molding, packaging, and order fulfillment
• Perform start-up inspections and provide approval when quality requirements are verified
• Maintain clean and organized work area with emphasis on safety, quality, efficiency, and utilization
• Conduct data entry and analysis for various manufacturing projects and efforts as needed
• Enter process information into computer
• Conduct inspections to determine if an order is shippable
• Adhere to all quality and safety standards within the department
• Adhere to all company policies and operational procedures
• Perform other related duties as assigned
What It Takes:
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Strong attention to detail is required
• Must have strong teamwork skills and able to work closely with others without conflict
• Demonstrated ability to influence and teach others
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Able to use measuring instruments such as scales and calipers, and a computer and calculator
• Able to work safely with sharp tools/objects, such as but not limited to, hobby knives, utility knives, diagonal-cutting pliers
• Able to read and write in English, and do basic arithmetic
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, team-oriented work environment
• Must be punctual and have good attendance
• Analytical thinking and problem solving skills
• Strong organization and time management skills

Physical Demands:
While performing the essential duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to sit; use a computer keyboard, monitor and mouse, telephone and printer; reach with hands, and arms, talk, see and hear. Work Environment:
Indoors (A/C); nonsmoking; the majority of this job function is performed in a manufacturing area exposed to machinery and noise; with eye protection and safety shoes required. Occasionally works in outside weather conditions. Occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
