Supports the development and implementation of manufacturing process for a specific module in semiconductor manufacturing, including sustaining and improving manufacturing equipment. Including recipe development and optimization, data management, and image post-processing for defect detection and classification. Supports equipment troubleshooting, maintenance, and qualification activities. Collaborates with engineering teams to optimize process control methodologies and ensure production targets are met. As an intern, learns and applies knowledge, builds skills, and explores future career opportunities through hands-on experience and projects that support Intel business goals in a collaborative environment.
Qualifications:
Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. This position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Must be a full-time student pursuing a Masters or Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, Data Science or a related field.
• 6+ months of Python and SQL development
• Example: computer vision experience with either OpenCV or machine learning.
Preferred Qualifications:
• 3+ months of experience in one or more of the following:
• Data science and statistics tools (Python is highly preferred). Data management and visualization experience.
• Machine vision techniques, OpenCV experience and CNN Image Classification.
• Statistical principles, process control (SPC) and Design of Experiments (DOE).
• 12+ months of experience with computer vision experience with either OpenCV or machine learning.
• Semiconductor Inspection (wafer, package, etc.).
• Troubleshoot complex ultra-high precision equipment across a variety of disciplines including optical, laser, motion or electrical systems.
• Fundamental scientific and engineering principles to develop novel design solutions for high volume manufacturing processes.
• Semiconductor devices and packing technology.
• Dimensional management for package features and planes.
• Optics fundamentals as applied to imaging techniques (light sources, resolutions, algorithm applications), light-matter interaction.
Requirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/research.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US: $99,700.00-134,800.00 USD
