Manual Machinist

The Manual Machinist machines parts through professional utilization of various conventional machine tools

and related equipment. These parts are used to build Rexa actuators and valves.

Responsibilities:

Measures material to be used for job using any of the measuring tools needed in making surethe material is correct for the part to be

Sets up work holding (vise, knee, fixture)

Performs manual cutting, turning, drilling, tapping, and threading on a manual lathe or

Performs first, last, and in process inspection to make sure hole locations hole size and overall size of part is correct to the

Qualifications:

2-years’ experience operating manual machines or technical, vocational education

High school diploma or GED required

Ability to set up and operate conventional machining equipment, while minimizing down

Demonstrated ability to work from and interpret, blueprints, sketches and verbally communicated

Ability to read and use measuring instruments, such as calipers, micrometers, and bore micrometers with a full knowledge of their

General shop math skills are required

Available to work overtime

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Standing 90% of the time

Walking 10% of the time
