Enghouse is looking to hire a divisional leader with experience in running B2B enterprise software businesses in the Transportation and Public Safety market. This includes running sales, professional services, recurring revenue (support, hosted, SaaS, Cloud and managed Services) and software engineering operations.
Reporting to the President, the General Manager, Transportation will lead the end-to-end strategy, growth, and operational execution of our transportation business. This executive will be responsible for scaling multimodal mobility platforms, managing public and private-sector partnerships, and delivering high-performance, tech-enabled transportation systems across multiple markets. This role requires a unique blend of P&L leadership, mobility expertise, digital platform experience, and public-sector engagement.
Candidates located in Europe or Eastern Europe are preferred. The role requires travel.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
Define and execute the company’s global transportation strategy across public transit, microtransit, and MaaS (Mobility-as-a-Service)
Identify new market opportunities, including public tenders, PPPs, and private sector partnerships
Drive expansion into new geographies and urban markets
Operational Excellence
Oversee daily transportation operations, including service delivery and customer experience
Implement scalable operating models for demand-responsive transit and fixed-route systems
Ensure regulatory compliance across jurisdictions
Technology & Innovation
Lead integration of mobility platforms, including routing algorithms, dispatch systems, and passenger apps
Partner with product and engineering teams to enhance platform capabilities (real-time data, AI optimization, ticketing systems)
Champion data-driven decision-making across all transportation services
Commercial & Financial Performance
Own full P&L for the transportation division
Drive revenue growth through contract wins, renewals, and upselling services
Optimize cost structures while maintaining service quality and reliability
Team Leadership
Build and lead a high-performing, cross-functional team (operations, engineering, commercial, customer success)
Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement
Develop leadership bench strength across regions
Required Qualifications
Experience
15+ years of senior leadership experience in transportation, mobility, logistics, or related sectors
Proven experience running a multi-market P&L ($25M+ preferred)
Track record of scaling operations in complex, regulated environments
Experience negotiating contracts with public sector clients (transit agencies, municipalities, ministries), including managing profitable projects with government entities.
Technical & Industry Expertise
Deep understanding of:
Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS)
Demand-responsive transit (DRT)
Transportation regulations and procurement processes
Experience with transportation technology platforms (routing, dispatch, ticketing, real-time data systems)
Leadership & Commercial Skills
Strong strategic thinking and execution capability
Demonstrated success in winning and managing large contracts/tenders
Exceptional stakeholder management and negotiation skills
Experience leading diverse, international teams
