J.S. Held is seeking a Managing Director dedicated to delivering exceptional client service and superior work product. In this senior role, you will lead and ensure the successful delivery of multiple engagements across the insurance and construction industries.
• Produce high‑quality delay expert reports
• Preferably have provided evidence in a tribunal or similar formal setting
• Bring a strong construction project background with extensive project‑related experience
• Possess experience in energy and construction projects worldwide
• Maintain an established network of clients within the APAC region
• Have prior experience working in the APAC region
• Demonstrate experience developing and implementing a business development plan

Job Responsibilities
 
• Produce expert reports
• Present findings to insurers, adjusters, brokers, and all key stakeholders
• Lead the analysis of delay claims
• Review and assess construction delay claims, methodologies, and supporting documentation
• Provide comprehensive schedule analyses
• Develop CPM schedules based on defined scopes of work, using industry‑standard productivity rates
• Ensure quality, accuracy, and consistency across all project deliverables
• Support and strengthen client relationships
• Mentor and guide team members on scheduling, claims methodology, and best practices
• Maintain advanced proficiency in Primavera P6, Microsoft Excel, and industry‑standard scheduling practices
• Provide expertise in:• Critical path impact analysis
• Delay and productivity assessment
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of cost and resource loading
• Manage multiple concurrent assignments with effective project oversight
• Provide litigation support and/or expert testimony
• Produce high‑quality written work, including clear, defensible reports
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
• 10+ years of experience preparing and analyzing CPM schedules and construction claims
Preferred Qualifications
• Relevant industry credentials or certifications
• Strong leadership and project management capabilities
• Advanced analytical, organizational, and critical‑thinking skills
• High attention to detail and strong deadline management
Physical and Mental Job Qualifications
• Ability to travel as needed based on project and client needs
