Enterprise Management Solutions LLC is seeking an experienced and strategic Managing Director to oversee the Business Services, Logistics, and Ventures Portfolio. This senior operational leader will be responsible for guiding multiple business lines—including administrative support, logistics, dispatch, hospitality, food service, and consumer brands—ensuring they operate efficiently, responsibly, and in alignment with enterprise goals. The role requires a proactive leader with proven experience managing diverse operations, driving performance, controlling costs, and fostering excellent client and vendor relationships—all while supporting organizational growth and strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Portfolio Operations Leadership: Oversee the day-to-day performance of assigned business lines, ensuring operational excellence, staff accountability, and adherence to budgets and standards.
Enterprise & Business Services Oversight: Manage internal support functions, consulting services, administrative operations, and client-facing service delivery, ensuring quality and timely completion.
Logistics, Dispatch, & Freight Management: Supervise freight and dispatch activities, carrier relationships, and logistics workflows to ensure compliance, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Hospitality & Food Service Operations: Oversee food service brands and hospitality ventures, ensuring operational efficiency, quality standards, inventory management, and event readiness.
Administrative & Support Functions: Coordinate with administrative teams on records, contracts, reports, and vendor management to foster smooth operations.
Staff Leadership & Development: Supervise managers, leads, and staff across ventures, promoting professionalism, accountability, and performance improvement.
Financial Discipline & Cost Control: Monitor budgets, expenses, and revenue, ensuring financial health, cost containment, and operational profitability.
Client, Customer, & Vendor Relations: Maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, partners, and community stakeholders to ensure high service standards and effective communication.
Systems & Documentation: Ensure organized records, reports, dashboards, SOPs, and compliance tracking across all ventures.
Business Development & Growth: Support strategic growth initiatives, evaluating opportunities, developing operational workflows, and ensuring capacity for expansion.
Risk Management & Issue Escalation: Proactively identify operational risks, escalate urgent issues, and support crisis response planning to minimize disruptions.
Reporting & Executive Communication: Provide timely updates, operational reports, and strategic insights to the COO and C-suite leadership.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Operations, Logistics, Hospitality, Public Administration, or a related field.
Master’s degree preferred.
Experience:
Minimum 5 years of progressive leadership in business operations, logistics, hospitality, or venture management.
At least 3 years of supervisory or senior management experience overseeing multiple teams or business lines.
Proven track record managing diverse operations, vendor relations, financial controls, and performance metrics.
Experience supporting or managing multi-entity or multi-site organizations highly preferred.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication, decision-making, and stakeholder management abilities.
Proficiency with MS Office, reporting dashboards, project management tools, and enterprise systems.
Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
