About the role

We are creating a new real-money online gambling product and are looking for a Managing Director to oversee day-to-day operations, execution, and the full build-out of the business from jurisdiction research and licensing to product launch, growth, and scaling.

Profit Share

This role comes with a profit-sharing incentive and equity / equity-like upside, structured to reward long-term value creation. The package is generous and aligned with a co-founder-level role. More details will be shared during the interview.

The Team

You will be building a high-talent, high-ownership team in a fast-paced, 100% remote environment, leveraging Ruby Labs’ existing engineering, growth, legal, and operational resources.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the company’s strategic development by researching and selecting suitable regulated jurisdictions and overseeing the gambling licensing process.

• Build and operate the business end-to-end, including product, operations, compliance, payment.

• Lead cross-functional teams in executing complex initiatives, ensuring alignment across engineering, product development, growth, marketing, and operations.

• Drive revenue growth and profitability while maintaining strict compliance with regulatory requirements.

• Oversee the product development lifecycle, from early architecture and roadmap definition to launch and continuous iteration.

• Collaborate closely with engineering teams to build and scale a proprietary online gambling platform.

• Ensure the product roadmap is aligned with business strategy, regulatory constraints, and user feedback.

• Oversee marketing and growth initiatives, ensuring they are data-driven, compliant, and efficient.

• Utilize analytics to optimize acquisition, retention, monetization, and long-term player value.

• Continuously monitor and analyze key financial and operational metrics, including revenue growth, margins, CAC, LTV, ARPU, and retention.

• Build internal processes, KPIs, and controls to ensure scalable and compliant operations.

Qualifications

You are a smart, hands-on, and highly independent leader with experience building and scaling digital products or businesses. Experience in online gambling is a strong advantage, but not critical for this role. We value fast learners who can navigate complex regulatory environments and make sound decisions under uncertainty.

You have strong intuition for product, growth, and execution, and you think like a founder — taking full ownership of outcomes. You are comfortable leading teams, working closely with engineers, and being deeply involved in both strategic and operational details.

Location

Ruby Labs operates within the CET (Central European Time) zone. Applicants from any country are welcome to apply for the position as long as they are located within approximately ± 4 hours of CET. This ensures optimal collaboration and communication during working hours.
