About New Frontier Immigration Law
New Frontier Immigration Law represents individuals and families navigating some of the most consequential legal moments of their lives. We currently file approximately 600 cases per month across Removal Defense, Humanitarian relief (T Visa, U Visa, VAWA), Family-based matters, Employment-based, and Consular processing, supported by a legal team of 10+ attorneys and 50+ support staff.
With our volume comes great responsibility. Legal excellence must be consistent. Supervision must be real. Risk must be proactively managed so our clients are protected.
We are hiring a Managing Attorney to serve as the firm’s central authority on legal quality, professional responsibility, and attorney supervision.
Why This Role Exists
This role exists to:
• Protect the firm and our clients from ethical, legal error, and professional risk
• Standardize legal strategy and filing quality across 600+ monthly matters
• Reduce avoidable RFEs through structured pattern analysis
• Supervise attorneys with clarity and authority
• Serve as the senior escalation point for complex legal matters
• Implement initiatives across the legal team
Legal standards cannot depend on individual style. They must be systematized and defensible.
Core Responsibilities
Legal Supervision & Authority
Supervise 10+ attorneys across multiple immigration practice areas.
Establish and enforce firm-wide legal quality standards.
Standardize templates, argument structures, and review protocols.
Define supervision requirements and escalation thresholds.
Intervene when case strategy requires correction.
Conduct structured legal performance and quality reviews.
This role requires decisiveness and comfort exercising authority.
Ethics & Risk Governance
Serve as lead authority on bar complaints and professional responsibility matters.
Design preventive supervision systems that reduce exposure.
Audit case documentation for compliance and defensibility.
Create documentation standards that withstand scrutiny.
Establish red-flag triggers for elevated review.
This role protects the license and the integrity of the practice.
RFE Pattern Analysis & Proactive Strategy
At our filing volume, reactive lawyering is insufficient.
You will:
Track and analyze RFE trends across case types.
Identify systemic drafting or evidentiary weaknesses.
Develop preemptive strategy updates and playbooks.
Lead structured legal review sessions.
Partner with Legal Operations to implement system improvements.
The objective is anticipatory legal leadership — not after-the-fact correction.
Senior Client Escalation
Conduct high-level conversations with concerned or dissatisfied clients when legal authority is required.
Provide clear, disciplined explanations of strategy and risk.
Make principled decisions regarding case posture and resolution in collaboration with leadership.
Calm presence and emotional control are essential.
Reporting Structure
Reports to: Head of Operations
Direct escalation access to: Founder/CEO for matters involving ethics and professional responsibility.
This structure ensures operational alignment while preserving legal integrity.
Compensation
Base Salary: $165,000
Performance Bonus: Up to $15,000 annually
Total Target Compensation: $180,000
Bonus metrics tied to:
• Legal quality audit outcomes
• Reduction in recurring RFE patterns
• Effective escalation management
• Documentation and supervision compliance
• Risk mitigation initiatives
Compensation reflects the scope of responsibility and enterprise-level legal risk oversight.
Qualifications
Active U.S. law license in good standing.
Significant immigration law experience across Removal Defense, Humanitarian, Family-based and Employment-based, and/or Consular matters.
Demonstrated experience supervising attorneys in a law firm environment and implementing strategic change.
Direct experience handling bar complaints or professional responsibility compliance.
Experience operating within high-volume legal settings.
Process-oriented, systems-minded, and decisive.
Comfortable integrating with operations without compromising ethics.
Six Sigma or other operations certifications a plus
