OVERVIEW
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Infrastructure and Technical Delivery within the Technology department, the Technical Delivery Manager plays an integral role in driving the successful execution of our digital expansion and interoperability initiatives. This role acts as the primary owner of technical delivery outcomes, focusing on translating Product and Technical Roadmap priorities into executable technical plans, managing delivery timelines, and ensuring effective, high-quality delivery and solution implementation.
A critical component of this position is the collaboration with Product Management and multiple cross-functional verticals (such as Engineering, Operations, Marketing, Project Management, Data Management, System Architecture, Solution Design & Development, and Security), to align technical delivery with the 3–5-year roadmap and to ensure that value is realized through timely, reliable, and scalable delivery of features and capabilities that support the company’s vision and meet both internal and external customer needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Translate Product and Business priorities into detailed technical delivery plans and implementation timelines.
Defining and communicating clear technical vision for project execution in alignment with the company's objectives.
Understand the technology landscape, including emerging trends, to influence product strategy.
Collaborate with Product Management to align delivery sequencing and technical enablement for features and improvements based on both business and technical considerations.
Work with project stakeholders, including customers, business teams, and developers, to translate business requirements into technical and functional specifications.
Act as a bridge between technical and non-technical teams to ensure mutual understanding and alignment.
Manage end-to-end technical delivery execution, ensuring release readiness, integration, and technical quality.
Coordinate and track the delivery lifecycle from planning through deployment, ensuring solutions are integrated and production-ready.
Support teams in resolving complex technical challenges while maintaining alignment with defined Product objectives.
Support Technology teams in managing their technical processes, backlogs, tickets, and deliverables.
Identify, manage, and communicate trade-offs between technical constraints, delivery timelines, with Technical and Product stakeholders to determine impacts against business value. Identify and manage delivery risks, issues, and cross-team dependencies, ensuring timely mitigation and escalation where needed.
Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, partners, and senior leadership, to gather feedback and communicate delivery status, risks, and outcomes.
Establish feedback loops with Product, Engineering, Architecture, and Security teams to drive continuous improvement in delivery processes and outcomes.
Utilize metrics and analytics to assess delivery performance and technical outcomes to inform future planning.
Ensure the creation of comprehensive documentation that communicates the technical decisions, implementations, and integrations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Develop a functional and technical understanding of our offerings to assist in identifying areas for technical optimization and innovation to enhance and modernize stakeholder experience.
Continuously evaluate new technologies, tools, and best practices that enhance delivery efficiency, system reliability, scalability, and quality.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
Experience
Proven experience (5+ years) in technical platform or delivery management in a progressive and technology-oriented company.
Strong knowledge of SaaS technologies, particularly with CRM and ERP solutions.
Experience with modern delivery and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, Git, or Azure DevOps
Experience with Cloud environments such as AWS and Azure.
Experience in coordinating technical execution in partnership with Product Management and Project Management groups, and translating strategy into deliverables.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives, while performing in a fast paced, regulated environment while maintaining strong communication and leadership.
Knowledge/Competencies/Skills
Strong ability to translate technical concepts into actionable execution plans.
Collaborate with Project management, Business Owners, and Project Managers to ensure technical delivery aligns with near and long term strategic and operational objectives, while identifying and working to remove technical and process gaps so teams can remain focused on achieving goals.
Excellent technical delivery management skills, with a track record of successfully delivering complex technical initiatives on time and within scope.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building and maintaining relationships across teams, and presenting technical delivery plans and outcomes to stakeholders.
Analytical mindset, proficient in using data to guide planning and drive continuous improvements.
Experience with development methodologies, release management, and delivery frameworks.
Demonstrated ability to think strategically while maintaining a focus on execution and operational excellence.
Coordinates efforts under architectural and portfolio governance to ensure alignment and compliance.
Acts as a model for cross-team collaboration and resolving delivery barriers.
Works to empower teams and individuals through clear direction, technical prioritization, and alignment with roadmap goals.
WORKING CONDITIONS
This is a remote position with a flexible work schedule and periods of uneven workflow. May require extended working hours during critical delivery or release cycles.
The successful candidate can adapt to a dynamic environment and has tolerance for change as Circular Materials implements new program obligations.
The job involves management of projects across multiple time zones, flexibility to support national delivery activities is required.
PAY TRANSPARENCY
Expected Compensation:
An annual base salary in the range of $110,000 to $120,000
The salary range listed complies with the Ontario Employment Standards Act and reflects a potential base salary range for this role. The actual salary offered will be determined within the range, and will depend on factors, such as the candidate’s unique qualifications, relevant experience, work location and expected contributions.
