As Global Technical Accounting Manager within Flora Food Group, you are an active member of the Group Controlling team and you will report into the Senior Manager Technical Accounting & Control. You will be an important speaking partner to senior leaders in the company as well as advisors and auditors.

About the position  

• You lead on complex Accounting and Reporting topics. Think of revenue recognition, impairment testing, financial instruments, equity investments, business combinations, complex presentation and disclosure requirements pertaining to the consolidated quarterly and annual financial statements.

• You have a strong knowledge of IFRS and financial control frameworks, and you can translate the global requirements into practice for the Flora financial operations. You are responsible for drafting position papers outlining the IFRS treatment of complex accounting topics within your scope.

• You are the owner of the global accounting (IFRS) policies and you will advise and support throughout the Group on implementation.

• You are able to play a leading role in the implementation into our finance processes of new requirements.

• You are a key contact for the external auditors and are responsible for overseeing the testing of your topics.

• Communication is key in this role. You support all international finance teams, so you need to have the ability to educate and train your colleagues by making complex matters understandable and get to the core. The role requires cross-functional working relationships with (senior) management, hence you will be expected to build high-performing working relationships.

So, what does it take to be successful in this role? 

• For this role, we are looking for a top performer with an outstanding educational and work background: “you know what good looks like”. We would love to hear about your track record and best practices, which you can further develop within Flora.

• You have a Big 4 background (audit, accounting advisory and/or technical office is a plus) and strong knowledge of IFRS. You are a registered accountant or equivalent (e.g., RA, CPA, etc.) and having FMCG experience is a big plus.

• You are a team player with high energy and drive with the ability to lead a constructive discussion on technical accounting options and related implementation.

• You bring high energy and excellent communication skills. Last but not least, you are proactive, personable, and you can prioritize multiple tasks with competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
