Manager Taxation

As a Manager of Taxation at a leading fintech, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the tax compliance and strategy for our organization. You will lead a team to ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations while also identifying opportunities for tax savings and efficiency. This role requires collaboration with various departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and effective tax planning.

Your key responsibilities will include managing all tax-related processes, including tax compliance, assessments, audits, and legal matters, while ensuring that our practices are aligned with the latest developments in tax legislation.

• Manage the preparation and filing of all tax returns including income tax, GST, and other indirect taxes.
• Ensure compliance with local and international tax laws and regulations.
• Oversee tax audits and manage interactions with tax authorities.
• Identify tax planning opportunities, deductions, and credits that can minimize tax obligations.
• Prepare and maintain thorough documentation for all tax positions and submissions.
• Monitor changes in tax laws and advise management on their impact on the organization.
• Support the finance team with tax-related inquiries and financial reporting.

Required Qualifications:

• Chartered Accountant with at least 1 year of experience in direct and indirect taxation, preferably in the BFSI sector.
• Strong knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements.
• Proven experience in handling tax audits and legal issues effectively.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with team members and external stakeholders.
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
