Job Description

Join our Mission to Protect Humankind!

Vaxcyte is a clinical-stage vaccine innovation company engineering high-fidelity vaccines to protect humankind from the consequences of bacterial diseases, which have serious and costly health consequences when left unchecked. Working to eradicate or treat bacterial infections such as invasive pneumococcal disease, Group A Strep, and Shigella is just the beginning. Our path to success is clear and well-defined, and Vaxcyte is set up to go the distance.

WHAT we do is every bit as important as HOW we do it! Our work together is guided by four enduring core values:

*RETHINK CONVENTION: We bring creative and intellectual diversity to every facet of the work we do in order to innovate and re-innovate the way vaccines are delivered.

*AIM HIGH: We embody our collectively audacious goal to courageously make the most complex biologics ever attempted to protect humankind.

*LEAD WITH HEART: Everyone leads at Vaxcyte with a kindness-first, inclusive approach to collaboration and vigorous debate that advances our business objectives.

*MODEL EXCELLENCE: The magnitude of our challenge requires our shared commitment to demonstrating integrity, accountability, equality and clarity across communications and decision making.

CDMO & External Partner Support

• Support operational interfaces with CDMOs, primarily Lonza.

• Participate in recurring Lonza‑related forums (e.g. VIBEX, MINT material ordering, allocation, and operational alignment meetings).

• Follow up on action items, timelines, and required documentation to enable smooth execution.

• Support deviation‑related activities by coordinating information flow between Supply Chain, Quality, and Operations.

Tracking, Reporting & Documentation

• Maintain operational trackers, dashboards, and status updates related to materials, shipments, and readiness.

• Own the accuracy and maintenance of campaign progression data, including OMP‑related tracking, ensuring consistency across Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Lonza‑reported data.

• Support preparation of weekly and recurring campaign updates by providing validated execution‑level data.

Issue Resolution & Continuous Improvement

• Act as a first line of response for operational issues related to materials, logistics, and execution.

• Escalate issues with clear data, options, and recommendations to the Associate Director.

• Identify opportunities to improve execution efficiency, tracking, and operational robustness.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field with 7+ years of experience in Supply Chain Operations, Manufacturing Support, or a related role. Other combinations of education and/or experience may be considered.

• Experience working in a regulated biotech, pharmaceutical, or life sciences environment.
