Job Description
Qiddiya Investment Company (QIC) is developing the world's largest entertainment, sports, and arts city — a giga-project anchored 40 km west of Riyadh. City Operations is the operational backbone of this destination, responsible for delivering seamless, world-class experiences from Day 1 and beyond.
The Manager of Security Operations occupies a critical front-line leadership position within QIC's City Operations function. Operating under the direction of the Senior Manager, Security Operations, this role is accountable for the day-to-day tactical management of security contractors and personnel deployed across the Qiddiya site — encompassing construction zones, live event venues, public realm areas, and mixed-use operational environments.
This is a visible, delivery-focused role that demands the ability to operate simultaneously as a commander, coordinator, and communicator. The Manager will serve as Security BRONZE — the senior on-site tactical authority during operations — while also managing third-party contractors, supporting compliance audits, developing subordinates, and acting as deputy to the Senior Security Manager when required.
The ideal candidate brings deep regional experience, event security expertise, and a track record of leading multicultural security teams in complex, dynamic environments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the daily execution of security operations across the Qiddiya site, ensuring consistent coverage, contractor accountability, and operational readiness.
• Serve as the on-site tactical commander (BRONZE) for all security incidents, coordinating response resources and escalating to SILVER as required.
• Manage the performance, compliance, and conduct of third-party security contractors deployed across the site.
• Act as the primary operational security liaison for internal departments and external parties, representing QIC professionally at all times.
• Build, develop, and sustain a capable, motivated security workforce through coaching, mentorship, and structured development.
• Ensure all security operations are conducted in full compliance with legal, regulatory, and QIC policy frameworks.
• Support the Senior Security Manager in translating strategic security objectives into operational plans and capability development.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Security, Emergency Management, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in security operations, including supervisory responsibilities.
• Proven ability to develop and implement effective security programs and strategies.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Familiarity with security technologies and systems.
• Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle emergency situations efficiently.
• Professional certifications such as CPP, PSP, or equivalent are preferred.
• Proven operational experience within the Middle East
• Demonstrated expertise in event security and crowd management
• Experience operating at Bronze Command level
• Strong capability in engaging and managing diplomatic stakeholders
• Holder of a recognized security qualification or certification
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
• Fluent in Arabic (written and spoken)
• Experience working on giga-projects or large-scale/mega events
• Proven experience operating within multicultural team environments
• Experience managing security contractors and third-party providers
