The Manager, Sales Effectiveness & Coaching plays a critical role in driving stronger, more consistent sales performance across Retail Insurance. This role is responsible for strengthening sales capabilities, improving execution, and embedding effective coaching practices that translate strategy into results.
Partnering closely with our Regional Managers (RM’s) & Licensed insurance advisors (LIAs) this role focuses on identifying performance gaps, enabling leaders to coach more effectively, and driving disciplined, data‑informed improvements that support both short‑term results and long‑term capability building.
Key Responsibilities
• Partner with sales leaders (RMs/LIA’s) to identify opportunities to improve sales effectiveness, productivity, and execution across regions and markets
• Leverage CRM data to identify behavioral trends, capability gaps, and coaching opportunities across sales teams
• Translate performance data and insights into actionable development priorities and coaching strategies
• Design, implement, and evolve coaching frameworks, tools, and routines that support frontline leader effectiveness
• Support sales leaders in building strong coaching capability, including observation, feedback, and development planning
• Collaborate with cross‑functional partners (e.g., Leadership, Practice Enablement, Sales/business enablement) to ensure alignment.
• Track and measure the effectiveness of coaching and enablement initiatives, adjusting approaches based on outcomes and feedback
Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience in sales, sales leadership, sales enablement, or sales effectiveness roles
• 5+ Experience in Banking/Insurance/Financial Services
• Experience using CRM tools (Salesforce preferred)
• Proven experience designing or delivering coaching and development programs for sales teams
• Strong understanding of sales performance metrics and how to use data to drive behavior change
• Demonstrated ability to influence and partner with leaders without direct authority
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into practical guidance
Salary:
$69,000.00 - $129,000.00

Salaried
The above represents BMO Financial Group’s pay range and type.
Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
